I thought it would be fun to tell you some of my first experiences since leaving Atlanta. So, here it goes.
First Flight: Fabulous...British Airways is great!!
First French Meal: Yummy!! Mentanna is an amazing cook. We had pork with a yummy sauce, green beans, rosemary potatoes, and of course a bagguette.
First Elevator Ride Up to My Apartment: Yep...my ears definitely popped. (And still do every time.)
First View of the City from my Apartment: Breathtaking...I love the 28th floor.
First Walk By Myself: Got Lost.
First Purchases: Cell Phone Card, Alarm Clock that projects the time up onto the ceiling (great since I'm on the top bunk), and a Dresser
First Trip: Retreat to Platja de Aro near Barcelona...beautiful beach (although more like rocks than sand), cold water, beach town, lots of pizza places, and the best group of people to hang out with for a week that a girl could ask for!!
First Pastry: A Chocolate Croissant (Pain au Chocolat), of course!!
First Trip to the Grocery Store: Interesting...the yogurt and cheese section baffled me, milk comes in boxes that you don't refrigerate until after you open them, got some Oasis drink (like Tang!!), and carried all of my groceries for several blocks...we now have a rolling cart to take!
First Sighting of the Eiffel Tower: Still took my breath away! And I still took about a million pictures.
